Being One

"The concept is wonderful"

submission: Being One
date: September 16, 2009

Being some sort of creature stuck in a lab without any real frame of reference is quite cool. I'm reminded of games like Zork: Nemesis and other detailed exploration games. While I haven't played the other two titles, I notice a lot of the set design and descriptions involve biomedical information. I'm getting my Ph.D. in neuroscience and psych, so if for whatever reason you could use a consultant, let me know.

Alice is Dead - Ep 1

"Great puzzle game"

date: September 16, 2009

I was slightly confused about the first one, but everything after that progressed nicely. I'm partial to American McGee's Alice, and really anything morbid, so this was an excellent treat for me. Thank you!

The Little Jamurai II

"Do not interrupt a man's song"

date: September 14, 2009

A simple message that could prevent entertaining bloodshed. The styling is slick and I enjoy the hip-hop elements. A man is disrespected, takes up his sword when necessity compels him to, and has to deal out the same justice when someone thinks that someone is owed a little something. Much respect to the authors, so to speak.

¡! What goes around !¡

"What is meaning, humanities major"

date: September 14, 2009

Dude below needs to get his B.A. in English and do some focus grouped STFU. While it's clearly an amateur job of animation, it's better than most of the 1st or 2nd submissions that get passed around nowadays. I also think it gets style points for the visual and music aesthetic. Clearly there is a swanky theme going on that happens to include killing.

So in sum: it's a movie from 2000, English, stfu, and not half bad.

Tarboy

"Inspiring"

submission: Tarboy
date: September 14, 2009

The animation was fluid, the story well-paced and lathered in action, and the denouement kicks you in the face. I liked the end most of all. I can definitely identify with that quiet, unexpected rage at how badly people are collectively being screwed.

Paranormal Creatures

"Great job for a first submission"

date: September 9, 2009

The synching was pretty decent, the action and suspense were good, and art-wise the style was simple but effective. I'd definitely keep at it!

The unholy tree of doom

"Don't get me wrong..."

date: August 16, 2009

The flash was cool and trippy. I like the things that make me trip. And I enjoy Detroit-style underground post-trance as much as the next person. However, the high chord playing through the loading, all during the flash, and afterward? Kinda made me want to beat myself to death with my own dick, not gonna lie.

Like I said, the visual portion is great.

Life in the Portal: Clock

"I think I read it once somewhere"

date: August 16, 2009

Isn't there some line about debasing holidays being the highest form of patriotism or something? As usual, wonderful work, what with the animation being animated well and stuff.

"and I sprang from my slumber..."

drenched in sweat with the tears of one million terrified brothers and roared: hear me now, I have seen the light. They have a consciousness! They Have a life! They have a soul; damn you! let the rabbits wear glasses.
